Las Colonias Park is in the heart of Grand Junction and consists of 130 acres of restored riverfront on the Colorado River. The park features an outdoor amphitheater available to the community. There were eleven funding partners stepping up to make this park possible. The buildings covered in the contract vary in size and include a small, restroom-only building near the dog park on the west end, a medium-sized restroom and shelter space attached to a central festival area that doubles as a commercial retail plaza, and a large combination restroom, shelter, and vendor facility built just south of the park’s signature butterfly lake.
