Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Professionally represents PNCI and effectively supports Company strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of commercial construction and exceptional jobsite management skills; Delivers on key projects and commitments via professional knowledge and leadership abilities.
  • Fosters positive long-term relationships with subcontractors and business partners.
  • Possesses detailed process & application knowledge relating to building codes, budget management, construction practices, project scheduling etc.
  • Ensures on-time delivery while maintaining team focus on safety, quality and budget.
  • Fully understands and effectively utilizes drawings, specifications, subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
  • Assists Project Manager with material delivery schedules and effectively manages change management process.
  • Assumes primary responsibility for leading, implementing and enforcing jobsite safety requirements and PNCI Quality Assurance / Quality Control Program.
  • Overseeing and making decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control and PNCI required labor.
  • Advises project manager of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts; anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties.
  • Overseeing work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operation.
  • Resolving local area problems regarding procedures, precedence, design clarifications, adequate labor and equipment, schedule and all other appropriate matters.
  • Communicate with architects, engineers, and representatives to obtain information, clarify design, clarify document discrepancies and other issues that many arise, and tracking through the RFI process or other means of documentation and then reporting to the project manager to review for possible cost impact.
  • Review of all approved submittals as a second means of catching discrepancies, design problems, or other issues that may arise.
  • Manages the overall site safety program as required and ensuring subcontractor compliance with PNCI standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
  • Creating schedules and determining sequencing of work. Developing and implementing recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.
  • Communicating with owners and architects/engineers in connection with field issues. Investigating and resolving such issues.
  • Manages the work to ensure that it is installed in compliance with and conforms to the contract documents.
  • Supervise, direct, coach and train PNCI labor assigned to the project
  • Maintain detailed project daily log.
  • Maintain detailed look ahead schedules.
  • Stay in contact with subcontractors to anticipate the project schedule. Notify project manager if subcontractor/s is non-responsive. Notify project manager if subcontractor/s does not show up on any scheduled day.
  • Maintain project photos.
  • Attend mandatory, monthly, companywide safety meetings.
