Growing Careers at PNCI
Hear from people who have built their skills, confidence, and careers as part of the PNCI Construction.
Project Engineer Intern
June 2024 – May 2026
“The support I received helped me grow over the last two years, and I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned along the way.”
From General Laborer to Project Engineer Intern
When I started here in June 2024 as a general laborer, I came in knowing next to nothing about the construction industry. Over the past two years at PNCI, I’ve had the opportunity to grow tremendously both professionally and personally. Not long after starting as a general laborer, I was able to begin working as a project engineer intern. Looking back, this experience from start to finish has been incredibly valuable to me, and I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned along
the way.
One of the things I will appreciate most about my time here is the people. I can genuinely say that every person I worked with at PNC! treated me with respect and kindness from day one, and that made a huge impact on my experience. The company was also extremely accommodating and supportive while I balanced schedules with school and football at CMU, which is something I’ll always be thankful for. I truly consider myself lucky that I ended up working at PNCI. Leaving is not an easy decision for me, and it is solely because I am moving back home to be closer to family. If I were staying in the area,
I would have loved the opportunity to continue building my career here. I truly appreciate everyone who invested time, patience, and support into helping me grow over the last two years, and I wish the company and the entire PNCI team nothing but continued success both personally and professionally.
